Pastor Jon McLane
- Pastor Jon McLane is a multifaceted leader with a rich background in military service, entrepreneurship, and social activism. He served as a Specialist in the United States Army from 2001 to 2009, where he managed base operations and personnel as a fuel and water specialist, including 1½ years of combat experience before his honorable discharge.
Jon’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Clear Vue Landscaping and Pools at the age of 13. He expanded the business to Tucson at 18, where he subcontracted pool and landscape installations, maintenance, and repairs, employing eight people at the height of the business.
As the Original Organizer of Occupy Tucson - Occupy Public Land (2011-2017), Jon installed nine homeless camps, generating over a million dollars in material donations. He continued his advocacy by founding Safe Park (2013-2016) and Safe Park Dream Center (2014-2016), providing 24-hour sleep and resource sites and a men’s shelter for the homeless.
In 2015, Jon founded Veteran Rescue Mission, a shelter and transition program for homeless veterans. He also serves as the Director of Common Good Media Group (2019-2024), which produces outreach events and media that highlight community service. He is the author of Dear Alyssa: A How-to Guide to Social Change (2020), a book written for his children to inspire impactful careers in social change.
